My relationship with Euroventure Travel began when we met at a museum In Bucharest, that held the world’s largest collection of irons. Of course. I met the lovely Catherine, who is Euroventure’s sales and social media manager and whilst we sipped wine and wandered through an iron exhibition giggling to ourselves, we realised this was the start of something marvellous.
I am now so thrilled to announce that I am a Brand Ambassador for the awesome Euroventure Travel, the first travel blogger partnership the company has had. Euroventure is a small, UK based tour operator, offering bespoke, self-guided interrail tours groups and solo backpackers, including hand-picked accommodation in hostels or hotels, train tickets or passes and some guidance. I feel this is a great fit for me, I love travelling in Europe and this brilliant, independent company offers travellers some kick-ass interrailing itineraries, inspiration, tips and support.
The best part is that Euroventure’s trips are completely flexible and independent, meaning you are on your own schedule. You tell the good folks at Euroventure where you want to go and they will sort you out. There’s no set times or enforced activities, you are master of your own interail destiny, leaving you with more time to selfie by the Eiffel Tower and sample every damn beer in Berlin.
Travelling in Europe is an exciting and mostly hassle free experience, with well-connected and most importantly, cheap public transport and a vast array of hostels in each country. My favourite thing about travelling in Europe is that there is such a vast array of differing cultures, cuisines, languages and architecture that are all in such close proximity to each other.
As you can probably imagine, the first time I backpacked around Europe, I treated the entire endeavour as some sort of giant European bar crawl. How lovely it is I thought, to have a little wine in Paris, pop on a train and have a cherry beer in Belgium later in the afternoon, this obviously led to an awful lot of missed trains. I was definitely a traveller that would have benefited from the assistance of a company like Euroventure.
Still not convinced if travelling in Europe is for you? Check out my post on ‘5 things that will happen when you backpack around Europe’ to see if you can be persuaded.
In the next few months, I’m going to going to working with Euroventure on some exciting projects, including creating content from several of their tours, so you can see exactly what a ‘Euroventure adventure is like’. I also recently went to London, seeking out all the quirky and offbeat hings to do, foodie finds and Instagrammable spots as part of my takeover over the Euroventure Instagram account. I will be uploading a blog post on ’48 hours in London’ very soon!
I also helped Euroventure launch their very first Twitter chat on ‘travel in Europe’. The response was overwhelming, generating 4.8 million impressions! It appears that there is a heck of a lot of love for travel out there, check out the link to the chat on Storify to see what you missed.
To join our future Twitter chats, which take place on the first Tuesday of every moth, make sure you follow @euroventure on Twitter also follow me @pip_says and search #Euroventurechat to join in. See you there darling travel enthusiasts!
