In this ongoing food series, you’ll learn how to cook some of my favourite dishes from destinations around the world.

NYC is a dazzling metropolis that’s full of skyscrapers, iconic architecture and incredible foodie hotspots.

New York cuisine is a real mixture of International cuisine and American Favourites such as pizza, bagels and cheesecake.

Eating your way around the city and sampling all the foodie delights is one of the best things to do in New York City.

New York Food Culture

The food scene in New York is a dynamic mix of diners, bodegas, hip restaurants, brunch joints, eclectic cafes and food carts.

Each New York offers a huge variety of places to eat and a wide range of international cuisines. It’s frankly a foodie’s paradise in NYC.

Some classic New York dishes and specialities include Falafel, dollar slice pizza, pretzels, hotdog, meat over rice, NYC style Cheesecake.

There are so many eating options in NYC that you could take an entire foodie vacation in this city.

Making New York Cheesecake

Cheesecake is an incredibly indulgent dessert that comes in a range of flavours and varieties. The NYC style cheesecake is the ultimate in classic cheesecake though.

Baked, New York Style cheesecake is one of my favourite things to eat when im visiting the Big Apple.

I find that the style of cheesecake can vary from diner to diner in the States. Personally, I think the best NYC cheesecake is light and airy and also creamy without being dense.

Baked New York Cheesecake tends to be slightly denser and richer than other types of cheesecake.

I personally prefer a baked NYC cheesecake that’s creamy without being overly dense.

If you have an electric mixer, NYC cheesecakes can easily be made at home, without too much fuss.

Add full-fat cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, flour and vanilla extract to your mixing bowl and bake yourself a perfect NYC cheesecake.

This is my take of a New York style baked cheesecake using easy to follow steps.
