On episode 9 of the Travel Goals Podcast, we talk about New York tips for first-time visitors with Matt Hayes-Lissack.
Matt started his career as a presenter on a variety of radio stations across the UK, such as Plymouth Sound, Gemini FM and GWR FM.
He has also hosted programmes on Capital 95.8 in London and The Capital Network – broadcasting to many major radio markets such as London, Birmingham and Manchester.
Before moving into a programme management role, he spent six years co-hosting Capital Breakfast in South Wales.

The show won the coveted ‘Best Breakfast Show’ at the Arqiva Radio Awards, both in 2014 and 2016, whilst securing two extra nominations on top of that.
His main passion outside of work is travel, mostly to the United States. In the USA alone, he’s visited Orlando, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Anaheim, Las Vegas, driven through the Nevada/Arizona desert in a Mustangand visited New York City several times.
Matt’s such a lover of The Big Apple that he got engaged and married there on two consecutive visits.
